Strength in numbers
There are 10 Friends of the Earth local groups in Scotland. (FoE England, Wales and Northern Ireland is a separate organisation).
Our local groups campaign to improve the environment in their own backyard, as well as joining in with campaigns nationally and internationally.
Local groups use a wide range of campaigning tactics including:
- political lobbying
- public education through street stalls
- promoting citizen action.
Many groups are also actively involved in injecting genuine policies and practices on sustainable development into plans developed by their local authority .
